That was what Rahmat and Dewi felt when bathing in the hot spring in Banyu Panas Hot Springs in Wana Wisata Area, in Desa Padusan, Kecamatan Pacet, Kabupaten Mojokerto, East Java.
This travel destination is in the 800 meters above sea level and located in the downhill of Mount Welirang. This place is one of the most favorited local residents.
“I usually bathe in this hot spring twice a week,” Rahmat, a visitor from Sooko, Mojokerto, said.
Rahmat told that he did enjoy this mountainous scenery while bathing in hot spring. He also told that he could spend hours bathing to seek warmness and release his stress and fatigue.
The admission to enter this place is only Rp 5.000 per person for an adult and Rp 3.500 for a kid.
This admission is very cheap for any people who need cheap and worthy recreational sites.
“The admission is very cheap for everyone, but sometimes parking issue still makes the visitors confused. The admission is Rp 6.000 but later inside we have to pay depositing vehicles fees. For the motorcycle, we have to pay Rp 4.000, meanwhile for the car is asked Rp 13.000.” Rahmat said.
Banyu Panas Hot Springs that was constructed with width 2 hectares in Padusan, Pacet, Mojokerto has five hot springs and 2 normal pools for adult and child. Most of the visitors always stop by to bathe and enjoy in the hot spring.
“I have been bathed for an hour and my whole body still warm even though it is raining,” Somad, a visitor from Sedati, Sidoarjo, said.
The rain during bathing in mountainous hot spring usually makes people want to bathe more. The rain itself also brings different sensations. The rain makes the hot spring unleashing little steams.
“It is like doing steam bath...” Somad said.
This hot spring with mountain water has its charm to make visitors to feel the warmness during bathing in the hot spring while enjoying the alluring pine trees scenery. Unfortunately, there are not many international tourists come here.
Afandi Abdul Hadi, The Head of Youth, Sport, Culture, and Tourism Department of Mojokerto said that his department has already promoted this travel destination, but the accommodation and the infrastructure are still lacking that makes tour guides feel hesitant to bring international tourists to come here.
He also said that the access to go there is pretty hard due to narrow roads that make bus not possible to pass this road.
