The height of the mushroom is various from 2 meters to 7 meters.

The unique shape of the stones makes this place interesting, especially to capture some photos.

“I was curious. I’ve seen this place on Instagram and YouTube. It seemed cool. It turns out that this place is awesome. Unfortunately, the weather is very hot in here,” said Deviani (20), a visitor from Surabaya.

Bukit Jamur becomes more popular after Vicky Notogoro along with My Trip My Adventure tv show visited this place.

Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of 2015, Marwan Jafar visited on 21 March 2015.

The visitors have a high interest of this place, but it only opens on Sunday. The parking lot costs IDR 3.000 for motorbike and IDR 5.000 for the car.

Mashudi, a parking staff, said that there were 200 cars and 1.000 motorbikes every Sunday.

Tourism Village
The great numbers of visitors prove that Bukit Jamur is a fascinating phenomenon.

Bukit Jamur is a tourism icon in Gresik. There are souvenir vendors nearby which sell t-shirt with Bukit Jamur picture.

Village headman of Desa Bungah, M Nasihin, mentioned that there were around 5.000 visitors coming every Sunday from morning until nearly dawn.

Marwan Jafar thought that Bukit Jamur tourism should be developed by involving local people in it.

Village government could also organize this place into a potential tourism. Pondok Bungah Indah, a property company, plans to develop this place into a collaboration of real estate and natural tourism.

Marwan revealed that new potential tourism should base on nature so that nature would remain healthy.
