On the other side, Head of Kediri Department of Tourism, Art, and Culture, Adi  Suwignyo added that he has monitored the development of this place since 2016. He was actively involved to turn Desa Medowo as a favorite tourism destination.

Suwigno explained that he would develop the people who involve with UMKM to be brave to innovate new products.

“As we know, tourism couldn’t be separated from UMKM products. Both of them will develop together,” he said.

Creating Creative Economic
Ir Sutrisno, Kediri’s tourism observer, said that this area has a big chance of tourism potential to be developed.

“Using the potential as a tourism and directing it to enhance the economic condition of the local people,” he said.

According to him, as a tourism observer, he hoped that the budget for the village development could be added in order to boost the potential development in each village.

He exemplified that if the budget for horticulture for a potential village is 5%, then it should be improved to 15%.

“The increasing budget proposal could be submitted to be approved to the mayor,” he explained.

He added that at least there is a strategic area that could be turned into a tourism to improved integrated tourism attraction.

“for instance, agricultural potential, any fruits could be turned into a characteristic to attract the tourist,” he stated.

Besides, he wished that local government could support the roads improvisation.

“I’m sure if the road is accessible, it will improve the local people financial condition,” he added.

Eggy Agityawan (28), an administrator of Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia (Hipmi) (Young entrepreneur association of Indonesia) in the creative economic sector, added that tourism should be supported with creativity.
