SURYA.co.id | PACITAN - Soft white-sands with coral reefs all over this beach are the stunning scenery in this place. This beach is located in a hidden area behind the hills in the western part of Java Island. This is Srau Beach that is located in Kabupaten Pacitan, East Java.
Srau has three parts of the beach. The first one is located behind the entrance gate of Srau. This beach is quite hideous. The visitors have to walk through a plantation to reach there. Nevertheless, the hard work to reach this place will be fully paid with the stunning scenery.
As soon as reaching there, the beach gives you unlimited scenery of its white sands. The huge waves reach the shore one by one. The water is crystal blue with white foam waves. Around this beach, there are sturdy yet exotic coral reefs.
When the water recedes, the visitors could come between the two coral reefs to go to the other part of the beach. In this area, there are many small caves in the reefs. That is why Pacitan is not surprised to be called “1001 Caves Land”.
The second one is wider than the first one. The white sands are quite rough. In this area, the reefs are lined up. The waves are not as huge as the other areas. In this area, the visitors could play water, but they still have to pay attention.
The third one is different with other areas. This area does not have sand. There are only reefs. In those reefs, the visitors could sit while enjoying the scenery.
Srau is located around 1.5 hours from downtown Kota Pacitan. The track to go there is quite narrow. It is also hilly and steep. There is no public transportation to go there yet.
For surfers, do not forget to try the sensation of reef break, the waves that are created from the sea water hit the reefs. This sensation is rare to be found, so you have to try while visit this beach.
One thing to know that there is no hotel in Srau. there are only some local residents’ house and some vendors. This point makes Srau perfect for adventurers who seek tranquil attraction.
