Lagu We Are Unity merupakan suatu bentuk karya berupa semangat kepada negara ASEAN dan dunia dalam menghadapi wabah Covid-19.

Adapun mereka yang berpartisipasi dalam kolaborasi ini yaitu para Alumni Kapal Pemuda ASEAN - Jepang atau Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme.

Selain memberikan pesan berupa semangat, lagu ini juga sekaligus mengirimkan pesan agar masyarakat tetap berada di rumah.

Hal tersebut terlihat melalui video klip yang telah diunggah di laman YouTube.

Seorang alumni asal Indonesia yang juga ikut serta dalam proyek tersebut, Devianti Faridz juga menerangkan hal serupa.

Lebih lanjut, Devianti menceritakan ada sebelas orang yang terlibat menyanyikan lagu tersebut.

Dirinya juga mengungkapkan bahwa lagu tersebut sebenarnya merupakan lagu lama yang diciptakan oleh seorang musisi asal Laos.

"Lagu ini dibuat oleh seorang penyanyi dan juga komposer lagu dari Laos pada tahun 2007. Dan lagu ini memang ditujukan untuk mendukung solidaritas ASEAN," terangnya dikutip dari tayangan Metro TV dari Tribunpalu.com dalam artikel  berjudul 'We are Unity' Lagu Dukungan Hadapi Pandemi Covid-19 dari ASEAN.

Video lagu 'We are Unity' sendiri telah dibagikan di sejumlah platform media sosial.

Diketahui proyek tersebut pertama kali dibagikan pada Minggu, 12 April 2020 lalu melalui akun Facebook maupun YouTube Art Thomnya.

Hingga kini, video tersebut telah ditonton sebanyak lebih dari 400 ribu kali di laman Facebook.

Tidak berhenti sampai di situ, proyek yang sarat akan pesan solidaritas ini rupanya juga mendapat perhatian dari pihak ASEAN.

Hal itu terbukti dengan turut dibagikannya video maupun kabar mengenai lagu itu di sejumlah akun media sosial resmi ASEAN.
