VIDEO - Batu Flower Garden, From Ordinary to Extraordinary

SURYA.co.id | BATU - The weather was cloudy but it did not stop the activity of the tourist in Batu Flower Garden, Coban Rais, Desa Oro-Oro Ombo. Once in a while, there are fogs in this area.

This area is called Batu Flower Garden. Batu Flower Garden is one of the new attractions in Kota Batu that is loved by many visitors.

Actually, this attraction was opened officially on 10 December 2016, and it has attracted so many visitors. Usually, there are 200 to 300 visitors in a day.

On weekend, the visitors could be 500 visitors. Moreover, there are 800-1.000 visitors in a day during high season.

“It had no choice to not open because, after three days of construction, there were many visitors. We were confused.” Zaenal A. Budihartoko, an initiator for Batu Flower Garden Coban Rais.

Batu Flower Garden was constructed in the area owned by Perhutani (Indonesia State Forestry). It is approximately in the downhill of Mount Panderman at the height of 1.100-1.200 meters above sea level.

Actually, this attraction only had a waterfall named Coban Rais and a camping ground. Unfortunately, there were not many people interested at that time.

To reach the waterfall, the visitors had to walk around 3 kilometers to reach there.

Until there was an initiative to add other facilities, Batu Flower Garden. The location is between the entrance and Coban Rais Waterfall.

The visitors have to walk around 750 meters to reach this romantic attraction.

Just like its name, Batu Flower Garden has miscellaneous flowers. The target visitors are teenagers and families.

They could take pictures of the provided spots that have incredible sceneries.

“Actually, this area’s purpose is to be a selfie spot because there are not so many in East Java. then, we constructed this place, and there are positive responses. There are many people take selfies here.  ” he said.

Until now, there are 8 spots that could be used to take selfies.

One of them is Flower Hill. This spot provides a spot that makes possible to take selfies in the middle of various flowers.

Second, there is Love Spot, also. The location is right beside the Flower Hill. The visitors could take selfies with high cliffs as the background in a heart-shaped wooden board. The scenery of the high cliffs will increase the selfies’ quality.

There is Pine Spot. In this spot, the visitors could take selfies in a wooden board that attached to the pine trees.

Then, there is I Love You spot. The visitors could take selfie above the I Love You-shaped board.

Next, there is swing spot that is full of flowers. Behind the swing, there is a waterfall in the middle of high cliffs. The waterfall is named Coban Putri. It is to bad that this waterfall has not so many visitors.

Other than those spots, there are Hammock Tower, Hammock Garden, and Flying Hammock Spots.

The management of this place would like to add other spots in the future, such as Cliff Cafe, Camping Area, Hobbit’s House, and Outbound Area.

“The visitors will be increased more because we will develop this place on and on,” Budihartoko said.
