SURYA.co.id | Surabaya - Surabaya people have a new tourist attraction now. It is Surabaya North Quay (SNQ). The pre-launching of SNQ which is located in passenger terminal Gapura Surya Nusantara, Tanjung Perak.

The opening of passenger terminal Gapura Surya Nusantara attracted the public’s attention. From Surya Monitoring, the visitors started to come since in the morning.

In the afternoon, more people kept coming to see Tanjung Perak Harbour situation from Gapura Surya passenger terminal.

"This place is great. it feels like I were on a cruise. Although this place is located near my house, I’ve just known that there is a beautiful view in this place which heading to Madura," said Ulfa Khoirunisah.

Ulfa, a visitor who lives in Jalan Perak Timur area, came to Surabaya North Quay with her big family. They didn’t shy to take selfies with a background of Madura Strait.

While Santoso, another visitor who lives in Jalan Demak, has taken some photos since he arrived in the parking area.

Santoso came to SNQ along with his wife and 2 kids. They stopped for a moment to take another photo in front of Gapura Surya Nusantara. Gapura Surya Nusantara statue at the front also became a selfie spot for this family. 

The same action was done by many other visitors of SNQ. After the visitors got to the entrance gate, they went to the second floor where UMKM (micro, small, and middle business) product were being displayed.

One of the UMKM products booths is Kampung Lawas Maspati product. It was crowded by the visitors.

Some of the visitors didn’t mind to sit at the floor, they want to join dakon (traditional game of Indonesia that is made of a long wood) competition and bekel (game of small rubber-ball, a traditional game of Indonesia) competition. The prize of the competition is painted t-shirt.

On the third floor, there are several patio umbrellas for the visitors who want to take a rest and take a shelter from the sun or rain while ordering some food inside.

"If it is possible, add more stall or café for hanging out place," Santoso wished.

The people enthusiasm of the SNQ’s existence didn’t seem to be the same as their sanity enthusiasm.

"Unfortunately, the visitors didn’t really care about the cleanliness. There are some visitors who littered the place," said Widi Kurniati, a visitor from Sidoarjo.

Whereas there were several bins on many corners of SNQ, she continued. “The cleanliness awareness of our people is very pathetic,” added WIdi.
