Thrilling Rafting in Songa Adventure Probolinggo

Songa Adventure, the organizer of rafting adventure, is one of them. It is located in Desa (Village) Pesawahan, Kecamatan (sub-district) Tiris, Kabupaten (district) Probolinggo. Many visitors come to Songa Adventure to do rafting on holiday.

Songa adventure was crowded by the tourist who wants to try and challenge themselves by doing rafting in Pekalen River.

Beside visitors from Probolinggo and East Java, many people from out of East Java also came to Songa Adventure including Jakarta, Semarang, and even Lampung.

“This place was very crowded from last Thursday(14/05/2015) until Saturday (16/05/2015),” said Diah from Songa Adventure.

According to Diah, Songa Adventure’s tour guide was guiding groups of people who would like to do 12 kilometers river rafting. So was Diah, she was busy writing a list of the coming visitors and departing boat tube.

Based on her, on holiday season, visitors were coming every day. Rafting adventure could reach 300 pack per day.

“On weekdays, it usually reaches 100 pack of rafting on weekdays. It could reach 300 pack on holiday season,” she explained.

Beautiful or Incredible Trip?
In Songa Adventure, there are 2 levels of rafting. Beautiful trip or Songa atas is one of them. The distance is 12 kilometers with 2,5 hours of rafting.

Beautiful trip costs IDR 269.000 for domestic tourists and IDR 450.000 for foreign tourists.

The second level is incredible trip or Songa bawah. The price for Incredible trip is IDR 229.000 for domestic tourists and IDR 400.000 for foreign tourists. The length of the track is 10 kilometers with 2 hours of rafting.

After having river rafting adventure, do not worry if you are hungry. There are many dishes at the last post including traditional dishes such as nasi jagung (rice with corn) and ikan asin (salted dried fish).

Besides river rafting, there are paintball, rope course, outbound training, and lodging.

Farid, one of river rafting participant, said that he chose Probolinggo as a vacation place because this was the right place to test his adrenaline. This place was interesting as well.

“My friend agreed with the idea of river rafting, thus we come to this place,” he said. He hasn’t gone to this place before.

It takes 3 hours from Surabaya to Songa Adventure by private transportation.

Be careful of broken roads
From Surabaya, you will pass through Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Wisata Bentar beach, and Gending.

From Jalan Raya Gending, you need to pass through a narrow and broken road.

From the direction, it takes 12 kilometers from Gending to Songa Adventure.

Rafting Adventure could be an alternative if you are bored with other mainstream trips.

Besides testing your adrenaline by tubing along the swift stream of Pekaler river, you can also relax and refresh your body and soul.
