Swim Freely in Delegan Beach Gresik

Delegan beach is located in Desa Delegan, Kecamatan Panceng, Gresik. It takes 40 kilometers from Gresik city center.

If you want to go to Delegan from Surabaya, you need to go through Sidayu and Jati Panceng forest. You can follow direction to Wisata Bahari Lamongan (WBL) because Delegan is located in the east of WBL.

“The beach is beautiful, it has delicate white sand. Moreover it has tranquil tides, which I like, so I can swim in the sea,” said Almira, Delegan visitors.

Even though she cannot swim, she can fool around the beach with a tube. There are tubes for lease in the beach. It costs IDR 5.000. Visitors will be able to float in the sea using the tube.

However, the visitors are not allowed to swim further than the boundary. There are flag to mark the distance to border the swimming area.

The distance from the shore to the flag is pretty far, so the swimming area is pretty wide.

Visitors who decide not to swim could build a sand castle, fool around at the beach, and enjoy the beautiful view of the beach. Delegan beach has a great view of a sunset in the evening.

“I’m just chillin’ and watching the sunrise in this beach. This place has stunning scenery,” said Aziz, one of Delegan beach visitors.

He admitted that he often comes to this place with his friends. He said that this beach was crowded on the weekend and holiday season.

“This place is crowded on holiday. There are few visitors on the weekdays,” he revealed.

Delegan beach is pretty small if it is compared with other beaches. This beach has 2.5-hectare area. Other than several benches for the visitors, there are several food stalls nearby the beach. It sells Gresik local food.

Delegan beach was opened in 2003. It opens from dusk until dawn. The road from Gresik city center to Delegan beach is very accessible, so you do not have to be worry. There is some direction board along the road as well. So, there is nothing to be afraid of, right?
