Kabupaten Sidoarjo has a ton of temples that are remains of the Majapahit Empire. Let us describe those temples one by one.

Dermo Temple

This temple is located in Desa Candi Negor, Wonoayu.

This temple is not really wide. The height is 11.05 m, while the length is 19.84 m. For the width is 10.77 m. This temple has a small yard in the front of this temple.

There is no parking area, even the access to reach this place is so narrow and small. That is why most visitors that come to this place usually park their vehicles in local residents' yard.

The facilities which are provided here still not complete. There are no restrooms, but the visitors could use the restrooms in the musalla near the temple.

Pari Temple

Pari Temple is one of the remains from Hindu-Buddha Empires and located in Desa Candi Pari, Kecamatan Porong, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, East Java.

This temple is located around 2 km from Lumpur Lapindo. This temple is a rectangular-shaped brick temple, faces the western part, and has andesite threshold and entrance gate.

Sumur Temple

This temple is located in Porong, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, East Java, around 100-200 m from Candi Pari.

It was constructed in the same era with Pari Temple, and both of them are included in cultural heritage in Kabupaten Sidoarjo.

According to J Knebel report in Repporten Van De Comissie In Nederlandsch vorr Oudheidkundig Onderzoek Op Java en Madora in 1905-1906, both Sumur Temple and Pari Temple were constructed as a symbol of remembering the lost the foster brother of Prabu Brawijaya's son and his wife that denied to live in Majapahit Empire.

Pamotan I and II Temple

These temples are located in Desa Pamotan, Kecamatan Porong. This temple is considered as a unique temple because this temple was made from bricks.

The difference between two previous mentioned temples and Pamotan temples are the design in Pamotan temples is way too simple.

It was made from red bricks and surrounded with rectangle holes to prevent the flood.

Tawangalun Temple

This temple is one of the Majapahit's remains in Kabupaten Sidoarjo, to be exact it is located in Desa Buncitan, Kecamatan Sedati.

While you in the middle to go there, you will see many fish ponds, and in those ponds, there are many stones.

When you reach the area of Tawangalun Temple, you will smell the strong sulfur odor. It is because the location is in the top of the small mountain that has mudflow and hot spring that resemble with lava.

Medalem Temple

This temple is located in Desa Medalem, Kecamatan Tulangan, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. This temple resembles the foundation of pendopo, a place for people to get together. It also Majapahit's remain.
