Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is the Indonesian ‘Niagara’

It is Tumpak Sewu waterfall in Sidomulyo Pronojiwo, Lumajang. The waterfall has some waterfall flows.
Abdul Karin, the organizer of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, explained that Tumpak Sewu meant thousand of water streams. The word “Sewu “was from Javanese which means thousand.
"Tumpak Sewu name was inspired from its water streams. Gledek River over there only has one stream" he said on Familiarization Trip Tourism of Lumajang, Sunday evening (9/4/2017)
The other waterfall streams come from the seepage of water springs on the hills. The height of Tapak Sewu waterfall is about 120 meters.
There are two interesting spots in Tumpak Sewu waterfall; those are Panorama station and Tapak Sewu Waterfall’s valley.
Visitors could see the beauty of tumpak sewu waterfall from Panorama station. If visitors want to go to Tumpak Sewu valley, they need to spend a lot of energy to get through a steep track.
The distance from Tumpak Sewu Waterfall to panorama station is 400 meters. Visitors have to walk for another 400 meters to go to the valley.
Tumpak Sewu waterfall could be accessed from either Lumajang or Malang. The estimation time is 1.5 – 2 hours.
Visitors have to pay Rp. 10.000 for the entrance ticket. At 3 PM, the valley would be closed for visitors.
