SURYA.co.id - Having a desire to see the most beautiful sunrise in Indonesia? Bromo is the answer to your wish. Bromo mountain is located in Probolinggo, East Java. Seeing the sun rise slowly from the other side of the mountain and feeling the cloud with bare eyes are special sensation for us.

There are three ways to go to Bromo from Jakarta.

First, you can go through the airway and take Jakarta – Surabaya flight. Almost all of the national airline provide Jakarta – Surabaya flight.

After you arrive at Juanda International Airport Surabaya, you need to ride a bus named "Damri" which take you to Surabaya Bungurasih Bus Station. Choose a bus which heads to Jember or Banyuwangi and tells the conductor that your stop is in Probolinggo.

When you get in Problinggo bus station, you could ride a public transportation to Ngadisari. You need to pay about Rp. 25.000. Do not be shock and upset about the departing time of the public transportation because it usually waits until it carries enough people to depart. If you are lucky, you will not wait for ages to depart.

Second, you can take the train to Surabaya. You could choose from economic to executive class to take. You might take Bangunkarta (executive class) or Jayabaya (economic class) from Jakarta to Surabaya.

If you arrive at Surabaya Gubeng Railway station, you need to take another train from Surabaya to Probolinggo. The price of the cheapest ticket is Rp. 29.000. It departs at 4.25 AM every day. After arrive at Probolinggo Railway Station, you have to ride a public transportation to Ngadisari before heading to Bromo.

Last, you could also ride a bus to Probolinggo. There are some executive class bus which will take you to Probolionggo. You need to find a bus which heads to Jember or Banyuwangi and tell the conductor that your stop is in Probolinggo.

There are many places to stay overnight, such as homestay or local people's houses. The lodging costs about Rp. 100.000 – Rp. 300.000 per night for one room. There are many food stalls around if you are hungry. They sell warm or hot food and beverages to warm your body.

If you want to see the sunrise, you need to go to the climbing. You have to rent a hardtop jeep to take you through a desert. It costs Rp. 500.000 – Rp. 800.000 for one jeep.
